Common issues and solutions for temperature and humidity readings in your Hey abby Grow Box

Updated over a week ago

Temperature and humidity are crucial factors in cannabis cultivation, and having accurate data is essential for understanding your plant's condition and providing the best care.

Hey abby indoor grow kit provides precise readings for both of these variables, accessible through your APP (IOS/Android) or the TFT screen (only OG Edition). However, as with any electronic device, Hey abby's sensors may encounter issues. In this guide, we'll provide solutions to help you troubleshoot these problems.

Issue 1: Readings of '0'

In rare cases, you may notice that the temperature and humidity readings in your Hey abby device display "0":

Solution 1

  1. Disconnect the device from power for 5 minutes;

  2. Power it back on and wait for another 5 minutes to see if the temperature and humidity displayed on the dial return to normal.

Solution 2

  1. If after attempting Solution 1, the temperature and humidity readings still show "0," turn off the device;

  2. Open the back cover and check if the cable connector is loose;

  4. Power the device back on and observe whether the readings are now correct.

Issue 2: Deviations in Readings

Sometimes, you may notice that Hey abby's temperature and humidity readings have a deviation from those on sensors manufactured by third parties.

Solution:

  1. If the difference between the readings is ≤5, these slight differences could be attributed to variations in sensor manufacturers and their sensor placements.

  2. However, if there is a significant difference in the readings, it is likely that the sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced.

By following these troubleshooting steps, your Hey abby grow box's temperature and humidity sensors should be working correctly. If you continue to experience issues, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team for assistance and resolution.
